🎄 Radio One from Teufel: much more than a clock radio!

Are you looking for a clock radio with an elegant design and cutting-edge technology? Teufel has what you need on the shelves! The Radio One, since that’s its name, doesn’t really look like a classic clock radio, but rather like a mini speaker.

The shapes are clean and rounded while the front face reveals a beautiful audio fabric. This allows you to see in transparency an LED display permanently indicating the date and time: logical for a clock radio.

A few mechanical keys as well as a volume control wheel take place on the upper side. They allow access to the different functions of Radio One. And the least we can say is that they are numerous.

Digital radio

We of course find the great classics of the category: two distinct alarms with programmable frequency (day, week, weekend, once) and progressive sound, memorization of favorite stations, automatic scanning of radio frequencies, etc.

In addition to the traditional FM band, Radio One can receive DAB+ digital stations. The sound is free of parasitic noise and is close to what an audio CD offers.

The audio aspect is particularly careful here, the integrated speaker having been the subject of every attention. We particularly appreciate the presence of a subwoofer, something rather rare on a clock radio which enhances low frequencies. This in no way prevents the mids and highs from expressing themselves, the result being very good.

The Radio One also has a Bluetooth connection to connect a smartphone or tablet. It then becomes a quality audio speaker. Something rare enough to be highlighted, the device has a 3.5 mm jack audio input as well as a USB connector intended for charging a smartphone.

Quality audio

Installed on our bedside table, Radio One has literally transformed our alarm clock! We appreciate the gradual increase in power of the alarm, which avoids waking up suddenly… and the bad mood that generally goes with it. DAB+ stations being very present in the Paris region (where the device was tested), we really appreciated the sound quality of the speaker.

And yet, Radio One didn’t stay in the bedroom for very long: we finally installed it in the main room of our Parisian apartment! It is very useful to us as an auxiliary speaker, radio and digital clock. Its reasonable price and the quality of the services it offers make us want to acquire a second one which will stay in the room!
