An unexpected success for this French film
“Since it came out last Wednesday, three out of ten people who buy a cinema ticket go to see Un p’tit truc en plus, “That’s a colossal market share, especially for a film that is neither a blockbuster nor a franchise.” confided to Parisian, Philippe Godeau, the boss of the Pan-European. For Artus, it is the other actors who carry the film. “It’s really them who bring this authenticity, this real speaking, this simplicity in the good sense of the word,” he indicates. Committed to giving another vision of disability, Artus is delighted that the entire film team will soon participate in the Cannes Film Festival. “They will arrive as stars, it’s the greatest gift we can give them”, Artus explains.
And only a week after the film’s release, the question of a sequel already arises. Question to which Artus answers: “It’s not out of the question, but we really need to find the right idea. What’s cool is that I won’t have to worry about (financing) the second, or even the third film. But at the same time time, this success will bring me enormous pressure for the next one.” So if you didn’t know what to do this weekend, at least you know which movie to see at the cinema.
