MAYDAY – RELEASE JANUARY 25, 2023
Gerard Butler is going to knock out the bad guy again for our greatest pleasure! A specialist in action films, the actor was directed by our Frenchy Jean-François Richet in Mayday. This is not the first muscular feature film for the director, who notably worked with Ethan Hawke on Assault on central 13 in 2005.
He also collaborated with Mel Gibson in Blood Father, released in 2016. We also owe him the Mesrine diptych with Vincent Cassel. After The Emperor of Paris (2018), Richet therefore returned to the United States to team up with the star of 300 and the saga The Fall of the White House.
In Mayday, Gerad Butler plays Brodie Torrance, an airline pilot. Caught in a violent storm with his plane, the latter managed the feat of landing it on dry land. But he will quickly discover that he is in a war zone. He and the passengers then find themselves taken hostage. Brodie is going to have to take matters into his own hands to get everyone out of this potentially deadly situation.
65 – THE EARTH BEFORE – RELEASED MARCH 15, 2023
In 65 – The Earth Before, after a terrible crash on an unknown planet, the pilot Mills (Adam Driver) quickly discovers that he was actually stranded on Earth… 65 million years ago.
To succeed in their only chance of rescue, Mills and Koa, the only other survivor of the crash, must fight their way through unknown lands populated by dangerous prehistoric creatures in an epic fight for survival.
Produced by Sam Raimi, the feature film is a mix of several cult works: Jurassic World, Star Wars, Alien and Without a Noise. Written and directed by Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, to whom we owe the screenplay of Without a Noise, the feature film is also worn by Ariana Greenblatt and Chloe Coleman.
JOHN WICK 4 – RELEASE MARCH 22, 2023
Baba Yaga is back, and it’s going to hurt! John Wick, the vengeful hero camped by Keanu Reeves, returns to break the villain in this 4th installment. As a reminder, the one nicknamed Baba Yaga will travel from New York to Osaka via Paris and Berlin.
John Wick will lead a merciless fight against the Big Table, the terrible criminal organization that has put a price on his head, by facing his most dangerous killers. Directed by Chad Stahelski, John Wick 4 is still worn by Keanu Reeves.
And he is surrounded by a cast of choice! Ian McShane returns as Winston, along with Laurence Fishburne as King Bowery. They are joined by newcomers Donnie Yen, Bill Skarsgård, Hiroyuki Sanada, Scott Adkins and Rina Sawayama.
FAST X – RELEASE MAY 17, 2023
First part of the grand finale of the Fast & Furious franchise, Fast X is the film awaited by fans of the saga! This big-budget feature film (to date, it has already cost $340 million!) is directed by the Frenchy Louis Leterrier, who took over the production after the hasty departure of Justin Lin.
And for his grand finale, Vin Diesel (very talkative on social networks) promises us a great show, beautiful surprises and a high-flying cast with Charlize Theron, Jason Momoa, Brie Larson, Helen Mirren, Rita Moreno and her family ( Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson and Nathalie Emmanuel).
But the film could also be a final tribute to Paul Walker, who died in an accident on November 30, 2013, since his brother, who had already doubled him for the last scenes of Fast & Furious 7, was seen on the set of Fast X. Filmed in the 4 corners of the world, Fast X will thrill cinemas from May 17th.
TRANSFORMERS: RISE OF THE BEASTS – RELEASE JUNE 7, 2023
Five years after Bumblebee, the Transformers will again invade dark rooms with Rise of the Beasts! Just like Bumblebee, which took place in 1987, this new opus will be a prequel to the original saga initiated by Michael Bay in 2007. Reviving the action and the great spectacle that made the first Transformers a worldwide phenomenon, Rise of the Beasts will transport the public on an adventure to the four corners of the world in the heart of the 1990s.
We will discover for the first time the Maximals, Predacons and Terrorcons joining the eternal fight between the Autobots and the Decepticons. The Maximals are a group of robots that take on the appearance of animals, the Predacons turn into dinosaurs while the Terrorcons turn into evil mythological creatures.
From the boxing fights of the Rocky saga to the confrontations between robots of Transformers, there is only one step! And that’s the path Steven Caple Jr. has chosen to follow. After Creed II, the American director offers himself the spin-off of another franchise, where the most spectacular scenes are born largely during post-production, thanks to the magic of special effects. This will be his third feature film.
INDIANA JONES AND THE DIAL OF DESTINY – RELEASING JUNE 28, 2023
Indy is back, and he’s rejuvenated! “I miss the desert, I miss the sea, and I miss waking up every morning wondering what kind of adventure the new day will bring.” It is with these words used by Sallah that the trailer for Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny begins, unveiled on December 2!
Disney has finally revealed the long-awaited title of this 5th opus of the adventures of the famous archaeologist at the same time as the first images! As expected, Harrison Ford appears digitally rejuvenated in what will be the film’s opening sequence. A leap in time will then be made by the story to take us to 1969, in full space conquest.
Our favorite explorer will have to take back his whip and his favorite Fedora to face his sworn enemies, the Nazis! And the big villain of the film will be played by Mads Mikkelsen! This 5th part is directed by James Mangold, who succeeds Steven Spielberg.
MISSION IMPOSSIBLE DEAD RECKONING PART 1 – RELEASE JULY 12, 2023
Since its inception, timing has been central to the Mission: Impossible saga. As much when it comes to stopping a countdown one second from its end as for the ever more demented stunts of Tom Cruise, which require the greatest precision. Pandemic obliges, this seventh opus has however experienced a lot of delay, since it will arrive in world theaters almost three years after the initial date.
If everything goes well. First expected in December 2020, then July and November 2021, and finally September 2022, Mission: Impossible 7 (or Dead Reckoning – Part 1) will be seen on the big screen on July 12 of this year. And the greatest mystery surrounds its plot, even if the first trailer indicates that the adventure will be epic.
Christopher McQuarrie will be back behind the camera, along with Rebecca Ferguson, Simon Pegg and Ving Rhames in front. But also Henry Czerny, alias Eugene Kittridge, director of the IMF in the first opus, who seems to have gone to the dark side in view of the images revealed. Among the newcomers, Hayley Atwell and Pom Klementieff will move from the MCU to the IMF, while Shea Whigham has replaced Nicholas Hoult as the villain, thus ending the theory according to which the latter is the son of Ethan Hunt.
While the feature film should once again take us to the four corners of the world, Tom Cruise has in store for us a scene on the roof of a train and a motorcycle jump from the top of a cliff, followed by a session of base jump. Just that. Waiting to see it do even stronger in the 8, scheduled for 2024.
THE MEG 2 – RELEASE AUGUST 2, 2023
After fighting a Megalodon in Troubled Waters, Jason Statham is back in a second episode! The 23-meter-long prehistoric shark is back to play tricks on us!
Director Jon Turteltaub has ceded his seat to Ben Wheatley, a British filmmaker known in particular for Kill List or High-Rise. The killing machine at the center of the franchise is therefore called the Megalodon, a species that died out millions of years ago and is the probable ancestor of the great white.
Fossils found by scientists suggest that this creature could measure up to 20 meters! Other feature films had previously focused on Megalodon, such as Shark Attack 3: Megalodon or Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus.
GRAN TURISMO – AUGUST 9, 2023
Gran Turismo, adapted from the hit video game saga, tells the true story of British racer Jann Mardenborough’s success story. This Gran Turismo fan has managed, thanks to his skills in video games, to become a true professional racing driver. He participated in the GP3 Series, the 24 hours of Le Mans and the Japanese Super GT series.
Footage released during Sony’s annual CES conference showed behind-the-scenes footage and featured interviews with the main cast of David Harbor (Jack Salter), Orlando Bloom (Danny Moore) and hero Archie Madekwe (Jann Mardenborough ). These promise us great races, total immersion and even a love story.
Darren Barnet, Djimon Hounsou and Geri Halliwell are also announced in the casting of this action film with beautiful bodies. Since the launch of the first Gran Turismo in 1997, the racing simulation game franchise has sold over 90 million copies worldwide (there are 8 Gran Turismo games), making it the PlayStation franchise most profitable ever. The film is directed by Neill Blomkamp (District 9).
EXPENDABLES 4 – RELEASE OCTOBER 11, 2023
The grandfathers of action are getting ready for a 4th dose… of adrenaline! In Expendables 4. Barney Ross and his band of mercenaries are almost all back: Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren and Randy Couture are back in service.
They were joined by newcomers: Megan Fox, 50 Cent, Andy Garcia, Tony Jaa and Iko Uwais. Note that the mythical Sylvester Stallone had left the set earlier than his colleagues, leaving Expendables between “expert hands” by Jason Statham.
