10-Year-Old’s Shocking Fake Threat Lands Him in Dramatic Trouble

A 10-year-old child has been handcuffed for threatening to shoot one of his classmates which was actually a joke. Posted by a sheriff, the video of the little boy in handcuffs made the rounds of the Internet.

On Saturday May 28, a ten-year-old boy was arrested in Florida. Schooled at Patriot Elementary School in Cape Coral, the child is accused of having sent to one of his comrades a message in which he allegedly threatened to commit a school shooting.

The problem is the seriousness of this threat, which was not serious at all. It appears that the little schoolboy had simply made a joke, which would have been taken out of context. Results, the little boy was filmed in handcuffs and entering a police vehicle accompanied by a policeman. Sheriff Carmine Marceno, who posted the video to his 210,000-follower Facebook profile, also leaked the little boy’s mugshot, showing his face to the world.

A joke in very bad taste

The story begins when the little boy flames by text message with one of his comrades, assuring him that he earns a lot of money by ripping off other schoolchildren. After realizing that his interlocutor did not believe him, the schoolboy sent him the image of a wad of dollar bills – straight out of Google Images – by pretending to be the owner.

Right after, the schoolboy sent his classmate a photo of an assault rifle, making him believe that he bought it and that it belongs to him. He accompanied this photo with a remark that set fire to the powder: “Get ready for water day (a day dedicated to activities in the water. The little boy seemed to say that this day would be opportune for a shooting, Ed.).

Video of handcuffed boy sparks controversy

Disclosed to the police by an anonymous informant, this message had immediate consequences for the little boy, who was arrested and handcuffed: The behavior of this schoolboy is disgusting, especially considering the recent tragedy in Uvalde, Texassaid Sheriff Carmine Marceno, behind the viral video.

The Sheriff claims to have made all these images public to teach the little boy a lesson, following his false threat of shooting. Widely welcomed, this method met with some refractories in the comments section of the video: “I agree with the dangerousness of the situation and the little boy must face the consequences, but I have a problem with the public humiliation of a child. What happened to the presumption of innocence?” noted a user.
