Lots of fresh snow and high danger level
From Monday morning to Tuesday morning, 30 to 60 centimeters of fresh snow can be expected on the mountains above 800 meters, locally more. Due to the stormy wind, there are strong shipments and an increasing risk of avalanches, writes Meteonews.
According to a hazard map, the whole of Switzerland is affected by the storm with just a few exceptions. Danger level 3 out of 5 applies. Only along Lake Geneva, in parts of Valais and in Ticino is the danger level 2 or below. (SDA/kes)
