1:2 in Bezau – now the Alberschwender series has broken

After 21 games without defeat, Alberschwende had to admit defeat in the Vorarlbergliga for the first time this season. René Fink’s team lost 2-1 to the “nemesis” Bezau. But that wasn’t a broken leg for the coach.

It took a long time for the Alberschwender to suffer their first defeat of the season. René Fink’s team remained unbeaten for an impressive 21 games in the Vorarlbergliga, but the series ended with a 2-1 defeat in the “fan.at” game of the round in Bezau. “At least we don’t have to think about that anymore,” said the trainer, “we knew that it would happen at some point.” And that it was the case with the Bezauers in the derby didn’t come as a surprise at all. Alberschwende could not win any of the last five games against the Hinterwald. “The artificial turf is an advantage for them at the moment. All the other teams train and play on fields,” says Fink, “they didn’t win against Lochau in the previous round for nothing.” The game was certainly heated. A controversial penalty – referee Macanovic saw a supposed handball and was hotly debated. However, Lucas Barbosa missed this penalty. A little later the ball was back on the spot. “But the second penalty was clear,” says Fink, “Bezau made two goals from two chances. We didn’t manage to convert our chances. It wasn’t an undeserved defeat.” After the end of the game, his assistant coach Peter Muxel saw the red card for insult – the Alberschwender series didn’t end without a song.
