Shortly before 12 noon, the TCS also reported via Twitter that the Gotthard tunnel was temporarily closed in both directions. The reason for this is a breakdown vehicle.
The A13 via the San Bernardino tunnel is recommended as an alternative route. There are also traffic jams in the opposite direction: between Quinto and Airolo, traffic has backed up for six kilometers. The loss of time is now up to an hour.
