12 years after their falling out on My Uncle Charlie, Chuck Lorre’s new series with Charlie Sheen has a release date

Despite past arguments, Charlie Sheen is in the new series from My Uncle Charlie creator Chuck Lorre.

Did you know that Chuck Lorre (creator of Big Bang Theory, Dharma & Greg, Young Sheldon) and Charlie Sheen (Anger Management, My Uncle Charlie) finally put their differences aside? However, we talked to you about it last April. Well, the two men are reunited again in the world of work, around the comedy Bookie (How To Be a Bookiein original version) by Max!

Although Max and Warner Bros. Television initially refused to reveal anything about this new collaboration, we now have a little more information on what Chuck Lorre has in store for us with this new comedy.

We know that the series follows Danny, an old-school bookmaker who is now struggling as he faces the challenges of the impending legalization of sports betting. Add to that complex family dynamics and a growing list of unpredictable clients.

Bookie is co-written by Chuck Lorre and Nick Bakay (Mom, Young Sheldon) and takes place in Los Angeles. The series intends to present the most exclusive and least glamorous areas of the city.

In the cast, we will find Sebastian Maniscalco (a comedian seen in Green Book and The Irishman) in the role of Danny, Vanessa Ferlito (CSI: Manhattan) in that of Lorraine, Andrea Anders (Mr. Sunshine) in that of Sanra and Jorge García (Lost) in that of Hector, among many others.

And Charlie Sheen in all this? It’s a still well-kept secret. But the main thing is that they meet again after being away from each other for a while. Their eight-year collaboration on My Uncle Charlie ended in 2011, when Charlie Sheen (who earned four Emmy nominations for his role on the series) had a public meltdown, including attacking Lorre in an unkind manner.

And even though he tried to return to My Uncle Charlie for the final season, it led to his firing and a $100 million lawsuit against the director and Warner Bros. Television. The lawsuit was eventually settled, but no one will ever forget Charlie Sheen claiming to own tiger blood and stating that he was in fact a wizard.

The eight episodes of the first season of Bookie are expected from November 30 on Max. The series should logically be available in France via the Warner Pass on Prime Video. Charlie Sheen may not star in every episode, but he is confirmed to have a recurring role.

Since then, Sheen has regretted his departure. He also indicated that he wanted to make amends with Chuck Lorre. Today, 12 years after the first altercation, the duo has decided to work together again. Let’s hope their agreement lasts.
