The owners of the farm in Andrichsfurt were already asleep when a fire broke out in an outbuilding on Monday night. Seven fire brigades and 122 men fought against the flames.
Shortly after midnight, the 53-year-old farm owner and his son (21) were woken up by screaming cattle. It quickly became clear what was upsetting the animals: an outbuilding used as a machine hall was on fire. The awakened farmers called the fire brigade to Andrichsfurt in the Ried im Innkreis district. Meanwhile, his father managed to save a tractor from the burning building. Cause of fire unclear The seven fire brigades were finally able to extinguish the full fire and prevent the flames from spreading to the main building. As a result, no one was seriously injured. The 53-year-old farmer nevertheless went to the hospital as a precaution to clarify any smoke inhalation. Animals were not injured. However, the material damage is considerable. The cause of the fire is still unclear.
