This French comedy saga with fries has just launched the filming of its 5th film in Lille with a major change.
Things are going well for the new part of Tuche! Jean-Paul Rouve will set up his cameras in Lille from April 2, reports Satellifacts. Several sequences at the Pierre-Mauroy stadium are planned.

Recently in promotion for the film Le Consentement, Jean-Paul Rouve had already confirmed that filming for the 5th part had started. Shots have already been taken at the Stade de France at the end of 2023.

It is the actor himself who will be at the helm of this new episode, succeeding Olivier Baroux, director of the first four parts. The announcement of this change took place in May 2023, according to information from Satellifacts. Filming should last 8 weeks and take place between Lille, Belgium and Ile-de-France, and a few days in England.
At the microphone of RTL, Jean-Paul Rouve spoke about this project, a far cry from his previous achievements. “I didn’t have any films in preparation, going back to a set, I love it“, he says, aware of being at the head of his first “big machine” as a director.
“We’re more into big Asterix-style films, whereas usually, I make films where I take my camera and three actors… There, I have green backgrounds, special effects…“
And added, smiling: “I don’t know how I’m going to handle this, it might be a disaster“. The actor, screenwriter and director has in fact already directed several feature films, but never on such a scale and with such resources.
The Tuches are going to England!
This is precisely his 5th film, after Without Arms, Ni Hate, Ni Violence (2008), When I will be small (2012), Les Souvenirs (2015) and Lola and her brothers (2018).
The Tuche 5 plot will take place in England. This is the only information we have at the moment regarding the history of these new adventures. Isabelle Nanty, Sarah Stern, Pierre Lottin, Théo Fernandez and Claire Nadeau will be in the cast, around Jean-Paul Rouve.
Let us specify that the producer Richard Grandpierre and Olivier Baroux “will not be associated with the new film, due to artistic and financial disagreements“, as Satellifacts indicated last May.
“I know the character so well, it didn’t bother Pathé“, indicated Jean-Paul Rouve on this subject at the microphone of RTL. Les Tuche 5 will still be produced by Pathé and the casting remains unchanged.
If we combine the admissions of the 4 films to date, the franchise has totaled more than 14 million tickets sold. The most successful episode being Les Tuche 3, in 2018, with 5.7 million entries.
The last part, released in December 2021, in a context still disrupted by the Covid crisis, was a little disappointing, with 2.4 million entries, or less than half of the third.
Les Tuche 5 will be released in 2025.
