1,400 euros cheaper than at Lidl: Buy an e-cargo bike directly from the manufacturer and save a lot

If you want to buy a new e-bike, you might want an e-cargo bike. The transport bikes are particularly popular with families and are often even used as a replacement for cars in cities. If you want to take the children away, go shopping or do other types of transport by bike, you can do so with a cargo bike like this. However, since the wheels are quite heavy, the Pedelec version is a welcome alternative to the classic “treadmill”.

Lidl is currently offering a model from Sachsenrad in its online shop for 3,999 euros. Quite a normal price for a cargo bike, but it can also be significantly more expensive. However, you can buy significantly cheaper at Sachsenrad itself. The “T1 Grand Trunk” is available here for 2,599 euros. A few days ago the price was 2,999 euros, but now the manufacturer has raised the red flag again.

The e-cargo bike offers two padded benches in the front for four small children. 3-point seat belts ensure the best possible safety. The built-in brake lock also ensures that the bike cannot roll away.

The benches can be folded up to create space when crates of drinks etc. need to be transported. There is also a lockable box for valuables under a bench. A rain cover can be attached using two optionally mountable brackets to keep everything dry.

Up to 60 kilometers range

The engine is located in the rear wheel. In addition to support when driving, it also offers a pushing aid. The battery is located under the luggage rack. It should be sufficient for a range of 30 to 60 kilometers.

Further equipment includes a 7-speed derailleur from Shimano, mechanical disc brakes on the two front wheels and a rim brake on the rear wheel. A lighting system is also installed.

The weight of the cargo bike is 72 kilograms. The permissible total weight is 222 kilograms. In addition to the bike itself, the delivery also includes an alarm system.
