Sao Miguel – the Azores The Portuguese archipelago is considered a natural wonder. Whether blue lagoons, imposing cliffs or volcanic craters – there are no limits here. Admittedly, the Azores are not the cheapest travel destination, but they are far from the most expensive either. Sun, sea and a lot of variety are guaranteed. São Miguel is the main island of the archipelago and accordingly has the most residents, from whom you might even get one or the other insider tip whispered in your ear.
