There is also traffic jams in the opposite direction: Between Fiado and Airolo, traffic has backed up for eight kilometers. The loss of time is now up to one hour and 20 minutes.
Shortly before 12 noon, the TCS also reported via Twitter that the Gotthard tunnel had been temporarily closed in both directions. The reason for this was a breakdown vehicle. The A13 via the San Bernardino tunnel is recommended as an alternative route.
