Joko Winterscheidt and Klaas Heufer-Umlauf have already been seen in the most impossible situations. But never before.

In front of the camera, Joko Winterscheidt (42) and Klaas Heufer-Umlauf (38) have shown their faces thousands of times. On Wednesday evening, however, they presented their insides for the first time. The 15 minutes she won in “Joko & Klaas versus ProSieben” on November 23rd turned into “15 minutes live from Joko and Klaas”.

After Winterscheidt announced “the future of entertainment” and Heufer-Umlauf “a quantum leap into the future of television”, they each swallowed a tiny camera in pill form. While the duo moderated, the audience could follow the journey of the camera pills towards the stomach.

Winterscheidt reminded the recordings of rafting, but he also noticed that the whole thing looked “disgusting”. “If Nemo were to come around somewhere now, I wouldn’t be surprised,” he joked and shortly afterwards swallowed small, edible fish; no real animals, of course.

The two had also come up with a few games. Heufer-Umlauf set out to use the word “Help!” to swallow from pasta letters that Winterscheidt should guess. But he could only see the “H”. Then followed, among other things, “the first dice game in the human body” and a “race”. The two of them each swallowed a head of a Lego figure and waited briefly to see which of the heads “arrives at the bottom” first.

How the unusual show came about

In the past, Winterscheidt and Heufer-Umlauf had repeatedly drawn attention to serious issues such as sexual harassment and sexual violence or the care emergency in Germany with the time they gained. Lastly, the two moderators explained how the strange “15 minutes live from Joko and Klaas” came about.

This time, too, a “serious” article about preventive examinations was originally planned, but nothing came of it because “at some point […] wrongly turned “. Nevertheless, one should go to the precautionary measure and also swallow” no dice and no toy figures “. They declared again on Twitter: “We took the wrong turn somewhere with the 15 minutes #JKLive, but the message is clear: Take precaution!”

In the event of a defeat, the two would have had to prove their singing talent at the sing-offs of “The Voice of Germany” on November 25th. On November 30th, starting at 8:15 p.m. in the second episode of the current season, it will be decided again whether they win airtime or whether ProSieben can condemn the duo to a punitive task.
