Israeli forces on Saturday shot and killed an 18-year-old Palestinian man near Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, the Palestinian health ministry said. In a statement, the ministry said,the death of Moussaab Mohammad Nafal, 18, who succumbed to serious injuries inflicted by bullets from the (Israeli) occupation forces“.
The Israeli army claimed to have received information about “throwing stones towards a highway (…) which caused damage to cars on the road“. On Thursday, Israeli forces killed four Palestinians, including the attacker and a fighter, in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, occupied by Israel since 1967.

In the wake of deadly attacks in Israel last March and April and other attacks that followed, the Israeli army carried out more than 2,000 raids in the West Bank, particularly in the areas of Jenin and Nablus. These raids, and the clashes that are sometimes associated with them, have killed more than 120 Palestinians, the heaviest toll in seven years, according to the UN.
