1,800 Power Dot charging stations for the European hotels of the Accor chain

According to the latest monthly barometer published by Avere-France and the Ministry of Energy Transition, France had 71,630 charging points (data provided by Gireve), as of September 30, 2022, i.e. an increase of 46% in one year .

In order to add its stone to the building, Power Dot, an installer and operator of charging stations, announces the signing of a partnership with Accor, the hotel chain. This agreement provides for the installation of charging stations in 1,800 hotels of the various brands that make up the group (Ibis, Mercure, Novotel, Pullman and Sofitel) in the southern region of Europe. Indeed, the hotels concerned are located in the south of France, in Spain and in Portugal. A first start-up phase will begin with a pilot project on 144 sites.

Launched in 2018, Power Dot began its adventure in Portugal as an investor operator, a country where it has become the second largest network. In September 2020, Power Dot is attacking the French market. Its field of action is the democratization of charging stations, on places of passage of which “the charging network is not suitable“, according to Matthieu Dischamps, general manager of Power Dot. He adds “that there is a lot to do in France and in other countries. In France, the network is underdeveloped, there is a huge deficit to fill. We have a very important mission to fulfill, but it is not excluded that other countries ask us“. (source Clean Automobile)
