As early as March 3, 2024, four young people were caught red-handed in the act of further damage to property. After extensive investigations and because all four had filmed a large part of the acts and also saved them on their cell phones, the four young people were able to assign a total of 19 cases of property damage between October 19, 2023 and March 13, 2024, according to the police in a release.Toilets vandalized Over the period mentioned, the young people, of different compositions, damaged the public toilet in the community of Scharten several times and the public toilet in Eferding several times. The boys also used illegal firecrackers to blow up a chewing gum machine and several objects such as traffic jams and mailboxes. At Marchtrenk train station, the young people were able to at least have a damaged monitor and a damaged toilet facility. High property damage The four accused are also accused of several damages to property in Eferding. The damage resulted in a total loss amounting to several tens of thousands of euros. All four confessed to the crimes and cited boredom as the reason for committing the crime.
