1st national league – spectacular ASV victory in the last second

In the 1st regional league, ASV Salzburg turned around the deficit at the last second and ultimately won 2-1 at home against Bad Hofgastein. So we remain undefeated.

The guests surprised early on and took the lead through a counterattack by Felix Kerschbaumer. After the break, the host appeared with a new plan and fresh forces. Captain Denis Andric initiated the turnaround. In the 66th minute he converted a questionable foul penalty to equalize. ASV coach Friedrich Oberascher sees him as the “brains of the team who takes command into his hands”. He also proved this in the long added time: the 34-year-old midfielder scored the winning goal from the backcourt, followed shortly afterwards by the final whistle. The referee’s performance that day was also very controversial due to the penalty and the extra minutes. Positive development Due to this success, ASV Salzburg is the only team in the regional league to remain undefeated. “That doesn’t happen in our heads, otherwise it just increases the pressure. Ending the week on a positive note is always good, just like our development,” says Oberascher.Thomas Schaier1.
