In the first of two MotoE races at rainy Silverstone, the man from Zurich celebrated his first victory in this class.

Having started the race from 6th place, Randy Krummenacher showed a strong recovery in the rain at Silverstone. On the course, which lasted only 5 laps, he overtook competitor after competitor and finally won ahead of Italian Kevin Manfredi and Spanish pole setter Eric Granado.

Fourth podium for the Zurich native

For Krummenacher, who is contesting his first season in the MotoE class, it was the first victory at the fifth GP stop. The man from Zurich had previously finished on the podium three times at Le Mans, at the Sachsenring and in Assen.

“It was a tough race, some drivers risked so much,” said Krummenacher after the win. But suddenly a gap opened up. “It’s an extremely important victory for me in the championship,” said the 33-year-old.
