1st regional league – undefeated ASV as losers of the round

Shortly before the winter break, things are simmering again in the top group of the Salzburg 1st Regional League: While Neumarkt and Bergheim were able to turn deficits into victories, ASV Salzburg gave up and slipped to third place.

League leaders Neumarkt turned the home game against Altenmarkt on Saturday and ultimately won 2-1. The man of the match was Hakan Acar, who scored the two impressive goals. Assistant coach Hajek described his beam from 40 meters as the “goal of the month” – the second highlight was a free kick into the corner. “He got us the three-pointer almost single-handedly. In close encounters, exceptional players often make the difference.” The first pursuer had a similar experience: Bergheim was still behind until shortly before the end. Then Lukas Can Hindler equalized with a long-range shot in the 81st minute, before captain Neubauer forced the win late in stoppage time. “Our morale turned the game around,” summed up Coach Pilaj. Only the still unbeaten ASV Salzburg dropped points: away in Anthering they had to settle for a 1-1 draw and thus gave up second place in the table to the Bergheimers. In the fight for the winter crown, the townspeople remain in the race – next Thursday the Oberascher team will host the Pilaj team in the big league summit. Thomas Schaier1.
