  • FC St. Gallen wins 2-0 at Servette Geneva in the 32nd round of the Super League
  • For a long time, the eastern Swiss struggled to score goals, but Betim Fazliji finally opened the score with a goal worth seeing.
  • Thanks to the win, FCSG climbs past Lugano (1-1 against GC) to fourth place in the table.

15 goals were scored in the 3 games this season when Servette met St. Gallen. For a long time, however, it did not look like a goal was scored in the last meeting. In the end, game 4 should pull the goal average down by almost one goal.

FCSG had Betim Fazliji to thank for the game not ending 0-0. In the 68th minute he unpacked the hammer and scored to make it 1-0. 20 minutes later, Christopher Lungoyi made sure that the 5394 spectators also got to see a second goal thanks to a template from Alexandre Jankewitz.

St. Gallen haven’t had to show so much patience for a long time: For almost 3 months or 11 championship games, the eastern Swiss have always scored in the first half. Against Servette, however, there was no getting through in the first half.

This is how it goes

A week later, fourth-placed St. Gallen welcomes the table leaders from Zurich, who could already be champions by then. Servette is playing in Lucerne in central Switzerland on Sunday, May 8th.
