2-2-2 Rule for Love: How To Improve Your Relationship

Never heard of the 2-2-2 rule? The time has come. We explain to you what is hidden behind it.

Even if you are not in a bad crisis, the 2-2-2 rule may be of interest to you. Because there is still room for improvement in every relationship, right? The formula was developed by the American blogger Whitson Gordon and can help – and it is based on a very simple code of conduct:

❤️ Go out to eat in chic fashion every 2 weeks

Go to a nice restaurant every 14 days – and dress up for it. It's nice not to see your partner just in their jogging pants, isn't it? After all, in between you succumb to the temptation to let yourself go a little …

❤️ A weekend together every 2 months

Wellness, city trips, hiking trips … every two months there should be a weekend for two – outside of your home. Regular breaks are good and can bond you together as a couple. It is important that you always try something new.

❤️ On vacation every 2 years

Every two years you should go on vacation for at least a week – without family or friends. Turn off your cell phone and treat yourself to romantic evenings for two. Vacations create shared memories – and they are incredibly valuable!

Doesn't fit into your life?

Of course, you can also tailor the 2-2-2 rule to your individual needs – and shorten or lengthen the distances. The activities shouldn't be too long apart, otherwise the risk is too great to give in to the daily grind again …
