This April, the k-dramas to watch on Netflix oscillate between gory science fiction and hilarious romantic comedy.

In April 2024, the program will be a little less dense than at the start of the year, with only two k-dramas to get your teeth into. Parasyte: The Gray

The Korean event of the month is undoubtedly to be found near Parasyte: The Gray. In this particularly gory science fiction series, adapted from the best-selling manga Parasyte by Hitoshi Iwaaki, a young woman is transformed into a host by a mysterious creature. But Su-in (played by Jeon So-nee), will only be the first of a threat that will spread and endanger all of humanity. It’s a work by Yeon Sang-ho, the director of the award-winning zombie film Last train to Busan. Unlike the manga, the Netflix series is set in South Korea – it is also not in the continuity of the anime (Parasyte: The Maximalso on Netflix).

The Queen of Tears

Among the weekly broadcast k-dramas on Netflix, The Queen of Tears is the only one to follow this month. It is about the tribulations of the couple formed by Hong Hae-in (played by Kim Ji-won), a rich heiress to a large chain of stores, and Baek Hyun-woo (played by Kim Soo-hyun), a native from a much more modest social background.
