An unknown person was brutally stabbed on the street in Marchtrenk (Upper Austria) on Friday morning. The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries, where he died shortly thereafter. The search for the possible perpetrators was successful.
At around 7:20 a.m. on Friday, Marchtrenk became the scene of a horrific crime. A man was so badly injured in a knife attack on the street that he could no longer speak. The victim was immediately taken to the Wels Clinic. It died there shortly afterwards. Nothing is known about the identity of the victim. The man had no documents with him. A major manhunt is underway. After the crime, two people were spotted on the run. A massive manhunt was on for them. When asked by Krone, a police spokeswoman could not yet confirm whether the two were connected to the crime. The police were able to catch a suspect in the area of the Bindermichl tunnel in Linz, and a second was arrested in a coffee house.
