20 people involved – After insults: fight at a soccer tournament

Instead of balls, fists follow: At an indoor soccer tournament in the Schärdinger district sports hall in Upper Austria, there was a mass brawl with around 20 people involved on Saturday afternoon. Two of the bullies even had to be treated in the hospital.

Instead of settling their differences on the field, two soccer teams let their fists do the talking on Saturday around 2:50 p.m. in Schärding. The six Romanians and six Turks are said to have first insulted each other, then the fists followed. Visitors were also involved But it wasn’t just the athletes who were involved in the fight; according to the police, visitors to the tournament also got involved. In the end, around 20 people fought, two were injured and had to be treated on an outpatient basis in hospital. The tournament is said to have been the IKV (Islamic Cultural Association) indoor tournament.
