207,000 euros offered – who bought the Ferrari of Formula 1 legend

It was an exciting bidding war in the last few minutes of the online auction at Dorotheum. Around 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Klemens Hallmann – husband of top model Barbara Meier – prevailed against international bidders and bought Niki Lauda’s first company car. The Ferrari 365 GT4 2+2 came under the hammer after a starting price of 30,000 euros for 207,000 euros.

Our Formula 1 legend received the then silver company car at the age of 24. The world champion later sold the Ferrari again. Since then, the speedster has changed hands several times before the trace of the Lauda vehicle was lost. Decades later, the car appeared again, painted red. Big fan of Lauda and Schwarzenegger The new owner and celebrity investor has a weakness for Austria’s Hollywood exports: he is just as enthusiastic about the Lauda film “Rush” as Terminator Arnold Schwarzenegger. “It was important to me that this piece of Austrian history remained in the country,” says Hallmann, very enthusiastic about his new acquisition.
