Austria Klagenfurt celebrated a narrow 2-1 win at second division team Dornbirn without much glamor. With that, the “Violetten” moved into the ÖFB Cup quarter-finals.
Klagenfurt defender Nico Wimmer headed Austria Klagenfurt into the lead after just 18 minutes from an Irving corner. Then Dornbirn’s Renan equalized with a header and deservedly to make it 1-1 (39th). In the end it was Christopher Cvetko who shot from a good 18 meters and scored the tight, difficult 2-1 victory (83rd). As in the previous year, Klagenfurt is now in the quarter-finals of the cup.
