23-year-old woman kills lookalike to fake her own death

In Munich, Germany, a 23-year-old woman killed her look-alike found on Instagram to fake her own death. She faces life imprisonment.

The story is hardly believable. In Germany, in the Munich region, a 23-year-old young woman is accused of having killed her look-alike to fake her own death. Authorities say Sharaban K. stalked his victim, beauty influencer Khadidja O., on Instagram. She would have got in touch with her by private messages, then would have given her an appointment by promising her a kit of cosmetics. At the time of the meeting, Sharaban K. and her boyfriend, Shequir K., allegedly forced the influencer into their car before driving her to a forest in Ingolstadt to stab her to death. The couple would then have abandoned the body, stabbed more than 50 times, in the back of the car.

A few hours later, the relatives of the young Sharaban K. were worried that they would not see her return, reports TimesUK. Remembering that she told them she was going to Ingolstadt, they went there and found the lifeless body of beauty influencer Khadidja O. As the young German-Iraqi girl had hoped, her family could not tell the difference between her and Khadidja O. and believed that it was her body. However, an autopsy proved that the body did not belong to Sharaban K. An investigation was opened, which led to the arrest of the young woman and her boyfriend, Shequir K.

“The suspect wanted to disappear due to differences with her family”

“It has been confirmed that the defendant contacted several women who looked like her on Instagram before taking action, Attorney General Veronika Grieser told Picture. It appears that the suspect wanted to disappear, due to disputes with her family, and faked her death.” A surreal conclusion, which today leaves the German police speechless. “It’s an extraordinary affair. (…), admits the spokesperson for the authorities, Andreas Aichele. We don’t see ones like this every day, especially with such a dramatic twist. The day we found the body, we did not expect such an outcome.Sharaban K. and Shequir K. face life imprisonment.
