25 cars were damaged when a cement mixer lost a cubic meter of ready-mixed concrete on a six-kilometer route between Taufkirchen an der Pram and St. Florian am Inn.
A 35-year-old Romanian national from the Grieskirchen district drove a cement mixer on the B137 from Andorf towards Schärding on Wednesday at around 3:10 p.m. In the local area of Laufenbach, municipality of Taufkirchen an der Pram, the concrete mixer began to empty itself due to a technical defect in the joystick control, which is responsible for unloading Cubic meters of precast concrete. As a result, the following and oncoming vehicles – currently 25 damaged vehicles are known – were in some cases considerably damaged by the precast concrete that was distributed over the roadway and that was thrown up by vehicle traffic. The 35-year-old only noticed the technical defect in his vehicle in the Pramhof district, municipality of St. Florian am Inn, whereupon he immediately stopped the truck on the right-hand side of the lane Police patrols and the FF St. Florian am Inn on duty for over two hours. The polluted road was cleaned with a truck sweeper and then opened again to traffic.
