On Thursday afternoon there was a dispute with several young people in a hotel in Europapark Rust. The reasons for this are not known. In the course of the dispute, a pepper spray was said to have been used, as the Offenburg police wrote in a statement. Two people involved in the dispute were injured by the irritant gas, and 25 other bystanders were also affected.
The injured had to be treated by the ambulance service and the called fire brigade. The hotel lobby was vacated early. Regular operations have now resumed. The young people are now being investigated for dangerous bodily harm, the police said.
