Princess Diana’s (1961-1997) younger brother Charles Spencer (60) remembered his sister on the 27th anniversary of her death. On Instagram, the 9th Earl Spencer published a collection of newspaper photos of Diana at different stages of her life. On August 31, 1997, the princess died after a car accident at the age of 36.

One of the three pictures shows the former wife of King Charles III (75) as a baby at her christening, as the clipped newspaper article reveals. In another photo, the Princess of Wales is pushing a toy horse on wheels in front of her. While Charles Spencer left the pictures uncommented, people expressed their condolences under the post. “Always, always and forever loved. She will be sorely missed by many, many people around the world,” read one comment. “She is and will always be England’s true queen,” wrote another person.
In 1997, Diana was involved in a car accident with her partner Dodi Al-Fayed (1955-1997) and her bodyguard in Paris. The Mercedes crashed into a pillar of the tunnel at the Pont de l’Alma. While the driver and her boyfriend died at the scene of the accident, Diana later succumbed to her internal injuries in hospital. Her bodyguard was the only one to survive the accident.
