From 1 p.m. DJs played on the eight stages along the parade route. The roaring dance and music floats needed around four hours for the approximately two-kilometer route from Seefeld via Bellevue, Quaibrücke and Bürkliplatz to the Enge pier.
According to estimates by the organizers, around 900,000 people turned up, as the Keystone-SDA news agency said in the early evening. That is 50,000 more people than at the last event in 2019.

As with previous editions, the Street Parade audience was once again a mixed bag; Young people, families with children and also many grey-flecked people moved through the crowd to the booming beats.

Some of them dressed up like superheroes, unicorns, butterflies or smurfs. Others presented glittery garments – or just a few. And most of them were in normal, casual summer clothes with short pants and a hat to protect against the sun. “Having fun and partying” is what most of them gave as motivation for the trip to Zurich.

The motto of the 29th Street Parade was «Think!». The organizing committee wrote that only those who think can confirm, tick off or readjust their actions and prejudices.
The mood at the dance demo was peaceful. Nothing is known of incidents so far. The Zurich City Police said that based on the feedback and findings so far, they were positive about the Street Parade.
Few incidents
According to the announcement, around half a dozen people had to be brought to the Zurich sobering-up and care center after excessive alcohol and/or drug consumption because of danger to others. 16 people were arrested by the Zurich city police, mostly for theft or dealing in narcotics.
The Zurich cantonal police are responsible for security in the main station. By 9 p.m., the canton police had arrested seven people there, mostly for theft or dealing in narcotics.
Protection and Rescue Zurich announced that the paramedics had carried out 416 treatments so far. Alcohol and/or drugs were the cause in around half. There were a total of 35 admissions to a hospital.
Because of the high temperatures, the mist showers set up by the organizers were heavily frequented. Many Street Parade visitors also used the nearby lake to cool off.
In the Utoquais area, there was a fatal swimming accident in the afternoon, according to the Zurich city police. A 27-year-old had not appeared after jumping into Lake Zurich. He was rescued from the lake, but died on the spot despite resuscitation measures. The police could not say whether the victim was a participant in the Street Parade.
