Michelle Gisin is also the fastest Swiss woman in the second training session in St. Moritz. Mikaela Shiffrin is at the forefront.

After finishing 4th in the first downhill training, Michelle Gisin also impressed on the second test drive in St. Moritz. The Engelberg woman finished the second training session in 6th place. Gisin lost 0.58 seconds to Austria’s Nina Ortlieb’s best time. Ortlieb had already indicated the day before with third place that she liked the route in the Engadine.

The same can be said of Mikaela Shiffrin, who was second fastest behind the Austrian on Thursday (+0.19 seconds). Behind her was Sofia Goggia, last season’s downhill dominator. On Wednesday the Italian had lost a second to the day’s fastest, and on Thursday she had lost just under 3 tenths.

Durrer and Suter in the top 10

Corinne Suter (10th) also had a successful final training session. On Wednesday, the woman from Schwyz found herself outside the top 20. The snow conditions, which had become a little more compact overnight, would suit her better, said last year’s third place finisher from St. Moritz after training. Downhill world champion Jasmine Flury took 12th place, some of the other Swiss women ranked well outside the top 20.

Delia Durrer once again set a small exclamation mark, confirming her 11th place from the previous day with 9th place and thus ranking ahead of Olympic downhill champion Suter. The 21-year-old achieved her two best results in Lake Louise last winter (13th/20th), but otherwise always missed the top 20.
