Newly promoted Schwarz-Weiß Bregenz also celebrated a win in the 2nd round of the 2nd league!
Coach Andreas Heraf’s team deservedly won 2-1 (1-0) at SKU Amstetten on Saturday and is one of four teams with the maximum number of points. Amstetten is pointless at the bottom. Bregenz were the more dangerous team and took the lead through Gabryl (37th). The Brazilian was served via Fersler by Lukas Brückler and also outplayed goalkeeper Elias Scherf. Shortly after the break, Brückler prevailed in a duel against Sebastian Dirnberger and scored to make it 2-0 (47th). The Vorarlbergers then missed several good opportunities for a higher lead. Amstetten only pushed for the goal in the finish, but the penalty from Philipp Offenthaler only came in the 95th minute and was therefore too late.
