One thing is certain: even more episodes of “3 Body Problem” await you! But strangely, Netflix doesn’t announce the new episodes as season 2. But it is announced that the new episodes represent a conclusion to the series.

“3 Body Problem” gets a conclusion

Series creators David Benioff, DB Weiss and Alexander Woo revealed in a joint statement: “We are thrilled to be able to tell this story to its epic conclusion. We have been hoping ever since we read the last page of Cixin Liu’s great trilogy that we can take the audience to the end of the universe.

It is not yet clear how many episodes there will be or how many seasons. It’s not entirely clear to us why Netflix doesn’t just announce the second season first instead of ominously announcing a sequel without further details.

Since there are a total of three books in Liu Cixin’s “Trisolaris Trilogy”, we assume that the Netflix series could also end up having three seasons.

Ultimately, it’s probably reassuring for fans of the series to know that the series should come to an end and not be canceled straight after season 1. All negotiations have probably not been completed yet, but the makers wanted to give positive feedback to the audience.
