A Japanese-style platter
Disassemble a window frame (30 x 40 cm) by removing the back and the glass. Bomb it in black. Attach two small handles to the sides. Cut out a rectangle of cane the size of the frame and staple it on the back. Finish by replacing the glass on top. Window frame, handles, cane at Castorama, approx. 35 €.
A mood lamp
Tie strands of raffia at the bottom of the bedside structure and then even out the fringes. Cut a strip of cane to coat the lampshade carcass. Glue it with the glue gun, in the bottom and the top of the cylinder. Leave to dry. Using a needle, pass lengths of raffia up and down to hide imperfections. Reinstall the lighting. A hanging coat rack
Create a frame using wooden cleats and squares at the four corners, the size you want. On the back, staple a rectangle of cane of the same dimensions.
