3 mistakes that make our hair flat: Current Woman The MAG

You can wash your hair, use care, nothing helps! They are dull and flat. In this case, take matters into your own hands: if your hair lacks volume, it is often because of certain bad habits.

1st mistake: using a hair dryer too often

The first thing to avoid as much as possible for the good of your hair are heating devices, and in particular the hair dryer. Obviously, if it is very practical, the heat still damages the hair fiber. Just like hair straighteners, heated brushes and curling irons, it makes hair more fragile. As a result, your hair becomes dull and flattened. If you really can’t do without a hairdryer for your blow-dry, go for cold air, and always protect the hair with a thermoprotective treatment. Otherwise, wring out your lengths well after shampooing, without rubbing too much. And let them air dry. You will find that over time, your hair will regain its vigor!

2nd mistake: choosing products that weigh down the hair

Sometimes it may happen that you choose cosmetics that are not suitable for the nature of your hair, and if your hair lacks volume, you should avoid treatments that can weigh it down. Conditioner, applied in too large a quantity can play a bad role and weigh down the lengths. Result: the hair is flattened. Too, avoid applying it to your roots as much as possible under penalty of immediate heaviness! If your hair is too flat, also avoid oil-based care or cleansing care with silicones which tend to weigh down the hair fiber and prevent the hair from breathing. Prefer natural products, such as organic volumizing powders. Very effective, the latter give volume to the roots, and they texturize the lengths.

3rd mistake: waiting too long before going to the hairdresser

With pollution, lime and other residues, the hair loses its vigor: the more it grows, the thinner and more it becomes brittle. And over time, your superb brushing becomes quite flat! To regain a beautiful volume, it is essential to take a trip to the hairdresser. No need to cut them very short, a few small centimeters are enough to find a beautiful material. Try to go to the hairdresser every 6 to 12 weeks : beyond that, it becomes more and more difficult to comb.
For short hair, the cut should be groomed regularly in order to keep its shape. As for long hair, know that the more they grow, the heavier they are … and become flat. But above all, cutting your hair keeps it healthy and helps it regain its lightness!
