30 minutes of spooky gameplay

Announced by 2K a few days ago, The Quarry is the new horror game from Supermassive Games studio. Today, we discover the first 30 minutes of play.

Supermassive Games is currently running at full speed. After wrapping season one of The Dark Pictures Anthology with The Devil in Me, and having season two on the way, the studio isn’t stopping. Indeed, the developers of Until Dawn have teamed up with 2K Games for The Quarry. Announced a few days ago, this game will be inspired by Friday the 13th.

The Quarry: a real complete game!

No chapters this time, but a complete game that will make us follow the adventures of nine animators of the summer camp Hackett’s Quarry to whom misery will happen. As in the film with Jason, here you will have to survive a night of horror while a killer is prowling around.

While we did not yet know much about the game, our colleagues from IGN were able to upload a video that contains what seems to be the first 30 minutes of The Quarry. We will thus be able to discover the characters whose destiny the player will decide via his choices. The video takes us into the car of Max and his companion as the couple find themselves lost on a road.

His name is Jason, and today is his birthday

As we can see, the game will ask us to choose the reaction of the characters, but also to carry out QTEs. In short, if you have played the studio’s previous productions, you will not be out of place. Remember that The Quarry will be released on June 10, 2022 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. Pre-orders are already open and as always allow you to recover some extra content.

The Deluxe Bonus Pack allows you to get your hands on several outfits from the 80s (which will be available after the game’s release). One will also be entitled to access to the return system before death. Ketchup lovers will benefit from the gore festival option for cinema mode, as well as the “old school horror” filter pack.
