30 ways to wear smoky eyes

The smoky-eyes will never go out of fashion. This smoky makeup worked with very dark eyeshadows such as black is a beauty classic. A timeless piece that is usually worn in honor of special occasions. Evening, red carpet, ceremony … the smoky-eyes highlight our looks in a daring and marked way. However, while admiring the most beautiful make-up of the stars, we discovered different ways to wear it, and even some tips to soften it or make it look festive.

The classic smokey-eyes

If you want to achieve a smokey-eyes in the rules of the art, you will absolutely need dark eyeshadows, and in particular, among them, a deep black. For the choice of your eye shadows, we advise you to offer yourself a small palette comprising all the shades necessary for a smoky-eyes. Our favorite? The palette 3 Dior Tri (O) blique colors, to choose from in shade No. 053 Smoky Canvas (available at a price of 60 euros on sephora.fr).

The tutorial:

For a pretty classic smokey-eyes, start by applying with a blending brush an intermediate shade (that is to say an anthracite gray) at the level of your hollow of the eyelid. Next, take your intense black with a ball brush and apply it to the outer corner of the eye, stretching the material outwards to lengthen the eyes. Finally, add the lightest shade (a light gray) at the inner corner of the eye. Blend and blend everything to avoid any demarcation. Remember to finish your eye make-up with a black pencil in the internal mucosa to intensify the level of the upper lashes, a black mascara, and why not a very pretty eyeliner for an even more wow result!

The discreet smoky-eyes

If the classic smokey-eyes scare you, and seem too marked for you, know that it is possible to soften it. For this, we advise you to always work with 3 different shades of the same shade … which will be different from black. You can opt for burgundy, blue, brown, purple colors. And whatever your preference, just repeat the steps in the tutorial above to achieve a beautiful soft smokey-eyes and just like you.

Holiday smoky eyes

If most of the time the smoky-eyes are drawn using black shadows, some celebrities do not hesitate to add a little color to their makeup to give a more original result. Léa Seydoux, for example, likes to bring a touch of navy to her smoky-eyes. What we prefer, on our side, is to add a little golden make-up, which we place in the inner corner, to illuminate the eyes.

It is also possible to add some glitter on the middle of the mobile eyelid for a completely crazy result, as evidenced by the eye makeup of Kristen Stewart, Cara Delevingne, Tyra Banks, Selena Gomez or Lady Gaga. For this, the Urban Decay Stoned Vibes palette will be ideal (available at a price of 53 euros on sephora.fr)!
