Eight days after the start of the school year, 3,000 classes were closed due to Covid-19, including 545 only in the space of a week.

During a question-answer to the National Assembly, Jean Michel Blanquer spoke about the closure of these establishments. According to the Minister of National Education, the curve should continue to increase.

“We expect it to increase over the next few days and then stabilize, before going down again, if it follows the curve we have had each time we return from vacation” says the minister during an interview for The Parisian.
During this interview, Jean-Michel Blanquer recalls that among 12-27 year olds, 67% have received only one dose, and 54% are fully vaccinated. Since September 2, vaccination for over 12s has been organized in middle and high schools.
