Because a naturopath spreads conspiracy theories and disregards the corona measures, the authorities resort to sanctions. But the last word has not yet been spoken.

  • A Solothurn naturopath who refuses the Covid measures, his practice.

  • Because he also spreads conspiracy theories about vaccination, the authorities intervened.

  • The naturopath now has to pay a fine of CHF 3,000 and is no longer allowed to practice in the canton of Solothurn.

A naturopath in Solothurn has to hand in his license to practice – again. The reason for this is that he did not enforce the mask requirement on his patients. He also referred to various conspiracy theories on his website. In addition to the withdrawal of his permit, there is now a hefty fine on the Solothurn, as the “Oltner Tagblatt” reports.

The legal service of the canton of Solothurn has announced that naturopaths are no longer allowed to practice in the canton until further notice. He also has to pay a fine of CHF 3,000 for failing to fulfill his professional duties. It is unclear whether the man still practiced his profession at all. During the trial, the man from Solothurn thought he was no longer practicing. He was asked to substantiate his testimony, but did not do so.

The decision of the Department of the Interior is currently not yet legally binding. The naturopath can still contest the judgment at the administrative court. For this reason, the legal service has not yet filed a criminal complaint. The basis for the notification is the violation of the measures ordered by federal law to combat the coronavirus.

“I cannot support this hygienic nonsense”

The reason for the forced closure of the practice in April was that the naturopath strongly criticized the corona protective measures and described the vaccination as a weapon of mass destruction, among other things. He also told his patients in a letter that the mask is hygienic nonsense.

The Covid vaccines are of course not a weapon of mass destruction, but an effective protection against infection with the coronavirus. In addition, if used correctly, protective masks are not hygienic nonsense. 20 Minuten reports in this ticker about this and other false information about Covid-19.

After the canton and the police carried out an unannounced inspection of the practice, the authorities ordered it to be closed. The naturopath then lodged a complaint with the administrative court, which is why the process dragged on.
