343 Industries (Halo): founder Bonnie Ross is leaving, her successor already named

Bonnie Ross is a major figure in the branch Xboxhaving spent more than 28 years at Microsoft. She was the head of 343 Industries since the founding of the studio in 2007, created as a reminder in order to continue the development of games Halo following the independence of Bungie. But all good things must end.

Bonnie Ross just posted today a statement announcing his departure from 343 Industriesto take care of “a family medical problem”. A sudden decision, she who intended to stay at the studio to continue the development of the big winter update of Halo Infinite. She adds:

I’m incredibly proud of the work everyone at 343 Industries has done with Halo Infinite, the Master Chief Collection, the Halo TV series, and so much more. It has been an honor to serve alongside the team for the past 15 years and to be part of a world that I love.

Thank you to everyone in the Halo community for your support. The future of Halo is bright. I can’t wait for you all to experience what we have in store for you – and cheer alongside you, as a fan, at the Halo World Championship in October!

Internally, things were quickly taken care of. Pierre Hintze, hitherto head of production, immediately becomes the new director of 343 Industrieswhile Bryan Koski is now general manager of the franchise Halo and Elizabeth Van Wyck becomes head of business and operations.

For gamers, this shouldn’t change much.the development of additional content for Halo Infinite will continue without Bonnie Ross. As a reminder, the game is included in the computer/Xbox Game Passyou can subscribe to the service of Microsoft versus €29.99 for three months via Amazon.
