Ambri-ZSC Lions 6-2
Because the guests from Zurich got stuck in traffic, the puck was not thrown in for the first time in the Nuova Valascia until 7:55 p.m. When it was still possible to start, the post went off immediately. In the 9th minute, Alex Formenton made it 1-0 for the home team with a dust-off. This same Formenton conceded a match penalty just a few minutes later after a gang check against Christian Marti. ZSC used the power play to equalize through Mikko Lehtonen (20′).
However, Ambri did not let himself be thrown off course. With 2 goals in the middle third, the Leventiners pulled away to 3:1, early in the final section Filip Chlapik even increased it to 5:1 with a double strike (41./44.). SCL Tigers 1-2 Davos
HC Davos succeeded in the dress rehearsal for the Spengler Cup. Three days before the traditional old-year tournament, it was future Langnau striker Julian Schmutz who became the match winner for Graubünden. The 28-year-old scored the 2-1 winner in the 57th minute. Previously Dominik Egli (26th) had been able to compensate for the early lead of the home team (5th).
Zug – Rapperswil-Jona 3: 4 nP
Even with the return of head coach Dan Tangnes to the gang, Zug did not return to success. A Bieler double strike in the final minutes by Jesper Olofsson (58th) and Yannick Rathgeb (59th) brought SCB the 3 points they thought were safe. After all, there were two of them in the end, Bader scored the overtime winner in the 64th minute.
Freiburg – Geneva-Servette 2:1
Despite the narrow defeat, Biel has drawn level with leader Geneva in terms of points. This is because the Servettiens lost out in Freiburg and ended the year with two defeats in a row and without gaining a point. Gottéron celebrated after 66 seconds that defender Dave Sutter made it 1-0. The middle of the game was not yet reached when Christoph Bertschy doubled the lead to make it 2-0.
However, Geneva did not throw in the towel, on the contrary: After Linus Omark’s connecting goal (35th), Simon Le Coultre completed a wonderful solo to the supposed 2:2. However, the hit was subsequently denied due to an offside position in the formation. As a result, Geneva ran in vain.
Kloten – Lugano 6:3
A fistfight between Daniel Carr and Kloten’s Marc Marchon started the decline of the Ticino in the 7th minute. Both were sent to the shower prematurely. Kloten used the majority to make it 1-0 through Noah Loosli (9th). Although the Luganesi came up to 3:5, the really big turning point didn’t materialize. While Kloten consolidates its midfield position, Lugano stays behind the pre-playoff ranks.
Lausanne 1-2 Ajoie
24 hours after the liberation against Ambri (5:3), Ajoie also celebrated a complete success in the last game of the year. The tail light from the Jura laid the basis for the surprise victory with goals from Ueli Huber (33rd) and Bastien Pouilly (36th) in the middle third. Richard Panik (45′) scored the goal with a double advantage, but the Jurassic team didn’t panic anymore.
