3M: the future CEO of the health entity is appointed


(CercleFinance.com) – 3M announced on Tuesday the appointment of Bryan Hanson as general manager of its healthcare activities, from which the diversified American group plans to part ways soon.

Hanson, who will officially take office on September 1, was previously the CEO of Zimmer Biomet, a medical technology company with annual revenue of more than $7 billion.

By comparison, 3M’s Health Care division generated total sales of some $8.4 billion last year.

The Saint Paul (Minnesota) group also plans to appoint businesswoman Carrie Cox, current chair of the board of directors of Organon, a laboratory specializing in the health of women, and director of Texas Instruments.
