In our minds we are still in summer, but the icy temperatures and the strong wind bring us back down to earth very quickly. Autumn has arrived in Germany, so it is high time to spruce up our wardrobe – away with the airy summer dresses and here with the cozy cords.
Designer Miyabi Kawai, who we met during her photo shoot for the campaign “Personality instead of stereotypes – for more self-love and acceptance” by the plus-size fashion label “Sheego”, reveals which styles should definitely not be missing in your autumn wardrobe .
I think we will see fewer female looks and more androgynous statement looks.
The bigger the better
The Scandi girls already showed us at Copenhagen Fashion Week. While light shoulder pads have been trendy for a long time, the sleeves become a lot more expansive in autumn. Fashion blogger Charlotte Kuhrt hits the bull’s eye with her look. She wears an orange blouse that, with its draped balloon sleeves, focuses on her shoulders. To enhance the effect, she combines a pair of skinny jeans and black boots.
Strong looks thanks to the statement belt
To all lovers of oversize clothes – we can reassure you that the trend is holding up well this season and it is impossible to imagine our wardrobes without it. However, our favorite style is getting a small but nice update. Our favorite oversize looks are now topped with a statement belt, which creates a strong silhouette.
Designer Miyabi Kawai shows us how to do it. She combines a wide brown belt with a loosely cut denim dress, which creates a contrast and thus skillfully emphasizes her waist. She rounds off her look with brown boots, a cool cardigan and retro sunglasses.

When the temperatures get colder, nothing beats warm feet. With this trend, we are killing two birds with one stone. Because chunky boots are all the rage this fall. No matter whether as boots or as Chelsea boots – the main thing is that the sole is coarse. The best thing about it: The shoe is super easy to style. No matter whether with a skirt, dress or jeans – it just looks great with every look.

I’m a huge fan of cool tailored suits. Blazers that have a good shape do a hell of a lot for curves.
