400,000 surprise tickets will go on sale before Christmas, here is the date to remember!

While Paris continues to put everything in place to host the 2024 Olympics and the end-of-year holidays are fast approaching, Cojo has made a surprise decision that will please many people. More than 400,000 tickets will be on sale very soon which will allow you to attend all sports, but be careful with only one rule! First come, first served, so be prepared!

This Wednesday, November 22, the organizing committee of the Olympic Games (Cojo) announced that it was launching the final phase of ticket sales to attend the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. A sales period which was not chosen at random with the aim of selling nearly 400,000 tickets which will allow people to attend all the sports. Indeed, the committee explains: “This purchasing phase is important, because it is the Christmas shopping period. Tickets for the home Games are a unique gift that can only be given once in a lifetime“.

In addition to wanting to take advantage of this Christmas period to launch this last phase, the Cojo indicated that this will be “probably the last sale where all sessions will still be available“. But when will ticket sales start? It is next Thursday, November 30 from 10 a.m. that you will need to go to the website tickets.paris2024.org in order to benefit from these last tickets for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Knowing that the committee indicates that the sale will take place according to the rule of first come, first served, you will have to be reactive if you wish to benefit from these last limited places.

Sales prices applied

If the price of tickets for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games has often been criticized, the committee made the decision to sell nearly 70,000 tickets for less than 24 euros. He then indicates that almost a third will be offered at 50 euros, but that in any case the price of 100 euros will not be exceeded for two thirds. If it is the opening and closing ceremonies you want to participate in, the first will be sold at a price between 90 and 2,700 euros and the second between 45 and 1,600 euros, but we do not yet know the number of places available by November 30. It is advisable to be very responsive when opening the sale, because as a reminder “Category D tickets are gone in an hour“.

The different phases of ticket sales have been put in place in order to leave places available almost a year before the event, especially when the organization does not yet have the precise number of places until the development of the sites is not finished. Today, more than 7.2 million tickets have been sold since the ticket office opened last February, out of a total of 10 million. Figures with which the committee says it is very satisfied. So, stay tuned as tickets will go on sale little by little over the coming months.
