5.2 million beneficiaries have still not claimed it

10 million taxpayers can benefit from the fuel allowance of 100 euros which must be claimed by February 28. So far, less than half have asked for it. Beyond 5 million, we estimate that the objective could be met, explains the DGFiP MoneyVox.

At the end of January, Bruno Le Maire had sounded the reminder: the fuel allowance of 100 euros proposed by the government had been claimed by only 3 million people, out of 10 million potential beneficiaries. The message has passed according to the Directorate General of Public Finances (DGFiP) since just over 4.8 million requests have been recorded to date. Beyond 5 million, we estimate that the objective could be met, explains the DGFiP MoneyVox while no recovery campaign is planned for the moment. Requested, Bercy did not confirm this objective.

The system is extremely simple, I had no negative feedback of those who went to register on the site of the Directorate General of Public Finances, but there are people who do not come to seek this assistance. I tell them to go do it, it’s a support for purchasing power, had reminded the Minister of the Economy.

Application deadline is February 28

This bonus, which is intended for people who go to work with their vehicle, is granted subject to means testing with a fixed ceiling of 14,700 euros of reference tax income (RFR) per tax share, i.e. 1,314 euros net per month for a single person or 3941euros for a couple with two children, for example. This fuel allowance can be requested again until February 28.
