5 games that will put you in the Christmas spirit

1. SantaCraft

Set in a pixelated universe similar to Stardew Valley, SantaCraft puts you in the shoes of Santa Claus. Yes, you read that right. You will have to dig paths in the snow, cut gingerbread trees or even mine barley sugars to try to save your missing reindeer. You will therefore have the heavy task of rebuilding your village in order to save Christmas. With the latest free update, you can now drive trains and try to collect new items through new quests. Note, however, that the game is available exclusively in English. It shouldn’t bother too much but we prefer to prevent.

Available on Steam for € 3.99.

2. Roman’s Christmas

If you like puzzle games, Roman’s Christmas just might be for you. You will play as a wolf detective who, although planning to spend his hard-earned Christmas vacation at his favorite tavern, finds himself having to work on several murder cases. Indeed, thirteen travelers stopped at the tavern because of a huge storm, but suspicious cases have been linked since. It’s up to you to restore order by solving these inquiries which could all be linked to each other… Don’t be fooled by these furry animals. The game, although having a Christmas background, turns out to be quite violent and mature.

Available on Steam for € 8.99.

3. Watch Over Christmas

The theme of saving Christmas is a classic, whether in cinema or in video games. Watch Over Christmas is no exception to the rule. In this 2D point’n’click adventure game, you will play Cisco, a twelve year old boy. He will quickly discover a strange light which will indicate to him that Santa Claus has unfortunately been kidnapped. He then embarks on a mission in which he will have to solve a multitude of puzzles, each more complex than the next. The game also features hand-drawn graphics and an original soundtrack. Note that it is suitable for players of all ages since there are several difficulty modes.

Available on Steam for ??, ?? €.

4. Santa Claus in Trouble

Santa Claus in Trouble is a 3D platform game that the whole family can play. Its story is once again very classic since you will once again have the success of Christmas Eve on your shoulders. As the holiday season draws closer, monsters have inadvertently stolen all of Santa’s presents. You will therefore have to help him defeat the enemies through twenty levels divided into five different chapters. You will have to collect all of the packages including specials, which are particularly well hidden. Note that you cannot save. If all of your lives are exhausted, you will have to start all over!

Available on Steam for € 9.99.

5. Overcooked – The Festive Seasoning

It is not a full-fledged game but rather a DLC. To take advantage of The Festive Seasoning, you will need to have previously purchased Overcooked. But we said to ourselves that a duet title was welcome. You play as chefs with the objective of making a real feast for Christmas. You will have to make as many dishes as possible in a given time, while taking into account the requirements of each other. So be co-ordinated if you don’t want to quickly find yourself underwater. Festive objects are also part of the game, notably with a brand new snow-covered map or even new recipes.

Available on Steam for free.
