5 makeup trends from the 90s to wear 2020

Beauty, like fashion, is an eternal renewal. The trends of the 90s are now back; let us guide you to adopt them the 2020 way.

Blue eyeshadow

One of the top trends of the 90s was blue eye shadow. Paired most of the time with a red lipstick, the combo didn't go unnoticed. We never thought we'd have this shade on our eyes again … and yet. This year, Dior is relaunching the trend with 5 Couleurs Couture in "Denim". And given the beauty of this palette, we are convinced!

Brown lipstick

One of the favorite lipstick shades of women in the 90s, brown was then long shunned. Today, we wear it a little lighter. It is now one of our favorites. Nude brown lipstick is a must have in your makeup bag; and for good reason, it goes with each of our beauty treatments! We take it mat … but above all we choose it creamy to avoid dry lips. For this, we recommend the Matte Power Bullet lipstick from Huda Beauty.

Pink pop blush

In the 90s, it seems that we knew no limits and had a heavy hand on our make-up, including blush! The blush that we chose of course pink. It did not particularly highlight our face. Today, we always choose it pop pink, for a natural good glow (a bit like "yoga skin"); but the application is different. We put it, with the end of the brush, on the top of our cheekbones and lightly on our nose … for an almost "sunburn" effect.

Metallic lipstick

Metallic lipstick is back … surprising, right? We could not find its rendering sufficiently modern and elegant, yet the new lipsticks with a metallic finish are canon worn. We think in particular of the Faith shade of the Vice lipstick by Urban Decay, the Fancy Peach of the Lip Stain Sephora Collection or the Goldie Red of Gucci Beauty.

Glittery eye gloss

Our addiction to glitter has no limits. So we fall for it, and we dress our eyelids in textures that are both glossy and glittery. Nothing like it for a brighter look than ever. To wear on the naked eyelid for a minimalist beauy look, or mixed with a colored blush for a more marked result.
