" We couldn't do Sex and the City anymore. The adventures of four white women friquées, that would not pass! ".
In 2018, thehen at the Deauville American Film Festival, Sarah Jessica Parker had expressed aloud what many people must have already been thinking quietly …

Here are 5 moments from the Sex and the City series that would certainly go a lot worse today:

1. When Carrie learned that Barkley (the petticoat from Soho) had filmed her sexual experiences with models without their consent, and the show brushed off that information as if nothing had happened.

"Models and men": season 1, episode 2.

2. In the final season, when Miranda searches for an apartment in Brooklyn and tells her son to follow the "white dude with a baby" to make a "good home."

“Boule à zero”: season 5, episode 5.

3. When Samantha goes out with Chivon in season 3 and makes several racist comments …

“Gravely night to love”: season 3, episode 5.

4. When Samantha put on a few pounds after moving to Los Angeles and the girls had a meeting where they basically made her feel guilty about her weight.

Sex and the City, the movie (2008).

5. When the Sex and the City crews insinuated that a woman's favorite pastime had to be shopping.

Despite these false notes from the writers, we still retain a form of tenderness for this band of friends who accompanied us in the early 2000s.

Sex and the City will also remain, all the same, one of the series that has contributed the most to uninhibiting women's voices on their sexualities since the early 2000s!
